Christian Wheeler joined Barr Automotive in January 2024 and is quickly proving himself as a talented, fast-learning apprentice. He brings energy, curiosity, and a proactive approach to every task, from servicing to mechanical work. Passionate about diagnostics especially in diesel and electrical systems Christian is focused on mastering his craft. Outside the workshop, he’s all about adventure, spending his time camping, 4WDing, or driving just for fun. Known around Barr as “Wheelz,” he’s a Facebook Marketplace regular and always chasing his next great find.

James Leverton joined Barr Automotive in Jan 2025 as an apprentice mechanic, bringing fresh enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to the team. Just nine months into his trade, he’s already recognised for his dedication to servicing, cleaning, and keeping the workshop running smoothly. Inspired by his dad, James’s passion for cars started young, and his dream ride a 105 Series LandCruiser reflects his appreciation for reliability and adventure. Outside the workshop, James loves spending time outdoors, whether camping, hiking, or exploring new places. His positive attitude and willingness to learn make him a valued part of the Barr Automotive family.

Chris Wilkinson brings genuine passion for helping people with their cars. A lifelong car enthusiast, his personal ride a Mercedes E500 W211 shows his appreciation for quality and performance. Known around the workshop as “Wilko,” he’s valued for his honesty, expertise. Whether he’s offering straightforward advice or keeping the team laughing, Chris is all about creating great experiences for customers and colleagues alike. His AirPods are his favourite tool, and when the tools are down, nothing matters more to him than time with his family.

Joshua Much joined Barr Automotive after crossing paths with Igor at a local industry training event a conversation that quickly revealed shared values around quality, teamwork, and customer care. Since then, he splits his time between coordinating service needs and getting hands-on in the workshop. Josh drives a Mazda NC MX-5 chosen on his dad’s advice as one of the most fun cars to own, and his favourite tool is a double-sided 14–17mm ring spanner that fits almost every job. Outside of work, Josh enjoys car meets, hitting the gym, and going for drives. His skill, enthusiasm, and easy-going nature make him a valued part of the Barr team.

Ivan joined Barr Automotive in 2020 and brings quiet confidence and guidance to the team. A true all-rounder, he’s known for fixing just about anything and for his focus on speed, cleanliness, and quality. His favourite tool is the trim tool because, as he says, “it’s not just a trim tool.” Around the workshop, Ivan is appreciated for his honesty, reliability, and upbeat attitude. He drives a VW Touareg but would rather be behind the wheel of a LandCruiser. Outside of work, he enjoys music and family time, guided by his motto: “Don’t be discouraged, try again.”

Josh brings attitude, precision, and good energy to the Barr Automotive workshop. Known for his sharp attention to detail and relentless standards, he makes sure every service is completed properly and the shop’s ready to roll for the next day. Beyond the tools, Josh keeps the team laughing and the morale high driving a culture of cleanliness, pride, and professionalism that sets Barr apart. And when he’s not under the bonnet, he’s behind the stove a killer cook who keeps everyone happy with his homemade treats (Igor’s favourite: the legendary vanilla slice).

Raegan joined Barr Automotive to leads the brand’s creative direction as Creative Director. A full-stack creator, she shapes how Barr is represented from social media and website design to building signage, uniforms, and even invoice headers. Detail-obsessed and driven by a relentless work ethic, Raegan takes ideas from concept to production without compromise. Her “nothing is impossible” attitude powers Barr’s bold, unified voice across every platform. Outside of work, she’s passionate about car culture, photography, and food all of which fuel her creativity and authentic connection to the Barr brand.

Matt Cook joined Barr, bringing over 40 years of experience and a reputation for precision, perseverance, and integrity. A true master of his trade, Matt handles everything from diagnostics and air-conditioning, though his real specialty lies in uncovering complex electrical issues that leave others stumped. Known for his calm, methodical approach and old-school honesty, Matt lives by a simple motto: “Do the job properly and don’t rip people off.” Around Barr, he’s respected for his depth of knowledge, steady mentorship, and the sense of trust he brings to every repair.

Outside the workshop, Matt recharges with good food, chocolate, and the occasional well-earned sleep-in.

Igor Stjepanovic is the General Manager and Co-Owner of Barr Automotive, leading the business since 2018. With a background in engineering and an MBA, Igor blends technical precision with strategic insight to shape Barr into the benchmark for exceptional customer experience. Known for his direct, honest approach, he focuses on building a tight-knit team, refining every customer touchpoint, and growing Barr’s community of loyal fans. Igor’s leadership is grounded in action, improvement, and genuine care for people. Away from the workshop, he values time with his wife and daughter, whether it’s a quiet night in or a drive along the coast.

As Executive Director of Barr Automotive, Lydia Stjepanovic leads with vision, authenticity, and heart. She’s the driving force behind Barr’s brand, culture, and customer experience shaping the business into one that stands for trust, transparency, and modern excellence.

With a background in leadership and governance, Lydia brings strategic clarity and people-first thinking to everything she does. She’s passionate about growing Barr into a premium, community-centred brand that sets new standards for the industry all while keeping the culture grounded, human, and real. Whether she’s mentoring her team, guiding customers through the Barr experience, or representing the industry at a higher level, Lydia’s influence is felt everywhere, and always driven by care.
