AIR CONDITIONING

AC servicing requires correct testing and licensed handling.

AC work must be carried out by an ARCtick-licensed technician. At Barr Automotive, we service air conditioning systems correctly to ensure safe, efficient, and legally compliant operation.

AC SERVICING

Air conditioning servicing must be completed correctly and by licensed technicians.

Barr Automotive carries out ARCtick-compliant air conditioning servicing using approved equipment, including inspection, leak testing, and system performance checks to ensure safe, efficient, and legally compliant operation. Servicing is completed to manufacturer specifications.

REFRIGERANTS

Approved refrigerants must be handled correctly and legally.

Barr Automotive is ARCtick-licensed and equipped to service R134a, R1234yf, and CO₂ (R744) refrigerants to manufacturer and ARCtick standards, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable air conditioning operation. All refrigerant handling and servicing is carried out using approved equipment and procedures.

AC COMPONENTS

Air conditioning systems rely on multiple components working together correctly.

The compressor, condenser, receiver-drier, expansion valve, evaporator, and cabin filter work together to deliver reliable cooling. System components are inspected during servicing to identify faults early and prevent further damage.

DID YOU KNOW?

R134a refrigerant has a significantly higher environmental impact than CO₂.

When released, R134a has a global warming potential over 1,400 times greater than carbon dioxide. Even small leaks can have a measurable impact, with the release of approximately 500g equivalent to the emissions produced by driving a fuel-efficient hybrid vehicle for over 7,700 kilometres. Correct recovery, leak testing, and ARCtick-compliant handling are essential to minimise environmental harm.
